Defibrillator (Fund Raising)

We need your help.

After lengthy discussions around the bar we have decided to purchase a defibrillator for the local community.

This will be placed on the wall outside of the pub where everyone can get access to it 24hrs a day 365 days per year.

I will supply and have installed the electric needed to keep it charge and will of course sponsor it.

This is where you come in

To get the rest of the funds I am looking for a little sponsorship and will also be doing a football card on a Friday-Saturday and Sunday in the pub if that’s okay with yourselves. Please help to support this fund raising and I am sure that it won’t take long to reach the total amount to purchase one and get it installed.

Thanks Paul

Information from The British Heart Foundation Wesite

Does my community need a defibrillator?

Yes, your community needs a defibrillator. For every minute someone is in cardiac arrest without CPR and access to a defibrillator, their chances of survival drops by up to 10%.

Having a public access defibrillator (PAD) available in an emergency can be life saving, especially in rural areas where ambulance response times may be longer.

You can check the response times of the ambulance service in your area on the ambulance response times website.

What are the benefits of having a defibrillator in my community?

Less than 1 in 10 people in the UK survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. This has been partly attributed to two factors that communities can change:

  • there aren’t enough people prepared to perform CPR when someone has a cardiac arrest
  • there aren’t enough defibrillators.

By having a defibrillator in your community and by training people in CPR, you can play an important part in saving more lives.

Lets do this…………….

A little reflection

Enjoying a night off planning future events for our fabulous customers.

Just having a little time to reflect about the last 2 months at “The Buck”.

Firstly I would admit that it has been hard work and at times all consuming during recent improvement works and as a result I may of seemed a tad miserable. But believe me it was not intentional it’s just I had things wizzing around in my head for the future all the time.

Now it’s all done, (apart from little bits until next year) so I can get back to doing what I like best. Giving you our loyal customers what you want. The best pub for miles. Hopefully the things we have been doing these last 2 months is the infrastructure to enable us to do this.

So here’s to the future of The Roebuck Inn, Forsbrook. A pub that has its own heartbeat and soul.

Thanks for your patience peeps and I promise I will do my utmost to give you what you deserve for supporting us.

Cheers
Paul xx

PS I would just like to say to my family thanks for putting up with me through these last 2 months. I know I ain’t been easy to live with.

Love you all to little Tesco and back ♥️♥️♥️
